Happy 2023! Bonne année 2023 !
Dear partners and friends of the chair cyberCNI,
a year full of many positive memories lays behind us. More details will come in the annual report we will publish soon. Some highlights follow:
We successfully started our phase 3 with Airbus, BNP Paribas, EDF, and SNCF as partners, and we already welcomed the first students of this phase, Anthony and Luis. More positions will be filled this year.
Phase 2 continues with the first student Manel defending already in December 2022 and the next ones to follow throughout the year, Nicolas, Léo, Awaleh, Hassan.
We now have two PostDocs, Nisrine and Loic, and an assistant, Fabienne. Soon our dedicated engineer Salim will begin.
We wish you all a healthy and prosper year 2023 and look already forward to the next endeavours with you!

une année pleine de nombreux souvenirs positifs se trouve derrière nous. Vous trouverez plus de détails dans le rapport annuel que nous publierons bientôt. Voici quelques points forts :
Nous avons commencé avec succès notre phase 3 avec Airbus, BNP Paribas, EDF, et la SNCF comme partenaires, et nous avons déjà accueilli les premiers étudiants de cette phase, Anthony et Luis. D’autres postes seront pourvus cette année.
La phase 2 continue avec la premiere étudiante Manel défendant en décembre 2022 et les suivants qui suivront tout au long de l’année, Nicolas, Léo, Awaleh, Hassan.
Nous avons maintenant deux PostDocs, Nisrine et Loic, et une assistante, Fabienne. Bientôt notre ingénieur dévoué Salim commencera.

Marc-Oliver Pahl (Titulaire de la chaire CyberCNI)
Marc-Oliver is an adjunct professor of Carleton University in Canada. Marc-Oliver’s research focus is on a holistic approach to cybersecurity. He is an experienced teacher and an eLearning pioneer, holding several teaching awards.
Marc-Oliver holds a Diploma from University of Tübingen and a PhD from Technical University of Munich.
Marc-Oliver is Vice President of the German Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) (https://germany.acm.org/). He heads the Future Education activities of the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (https://future-industry.org/).
Marc-Oliver’s research focus is on a holistic approach to cybersecurity. He works on security-by-design, anomaly detection, human-in-the-loop, and automation. His goal is making cybersecurity manageable, resulting in highly resilient and reliable systems. Marc-Oliver publishes regularly in the network and service management and security communities.
