Léo Lavaur and Yann Busnel hosted a tutorial on “Federated Learning × Security in Network Management” at the Networks of the Future conference 2023 in Izmir!
We are excited to share the news that our chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl is going to give a keynote on “Defending the Digital Realm: A Holistic Approach to Cybersecurity from the sound of Robot Arms over collaborating competitors to Human Retinas” at the 8th International Conference on Mobile, Secure and Programmable Networking in Paris on Oct 27, 2023!
Open Standards and Open Education play a central role not only for interoperability but also for cybersecurity! They allow different stakeholders to efficiently meet a certain level of service – the open standard. A good example from the automobile industry is the three-point seatbelt. Our chairholder, Marc-Oliver Pahl, had the pleasure to work with Max Senges (42 Wolfsburg) and Vint Cerf (Chief Internet Evangelist at Google) on a manifesto for more Open Standards and Open Education in the automobile industry.

Our chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl contributed an article to the whitebook around the “Lutte Contre les Manipulations de l’information”, “Fight against false information” of the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber (PEC).
At the beginning of June, our chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl met with our collaborators from the Low Power & Secure Silicon (LPSS) Research Group at IMT Atlantique in Brest. We have a joint PhD student working on AI-based hardware-based anomaly detection for software running on RISC V processors.
End of May 2023, our chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl was giving a keynote on “The technological millefeuille: from sensor security to data processing” at the International Symposium on Cybersecurity and IoT at the ESAIP engineering school.
Mid May, our chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl visited Florida International University (#FIU) to exchange on current #research and future #collaborations.

The chaire Chaire Cyber CNI Cybersécurité des Infrastructures Critiques unites researchers and students from IMT Atlantique, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis. At the beginning of June, Thomas Robert and Luis Soreiro from our Télécom Paris part came over to Rennes to present their current research. We had a very nice discussion around #software #supply chains and the dependency management within. We are already looking forward to the next exchange rounds!
Luis is a PhD student of the third wave of the chaire. He is working on the topic “CodeLedger – tracking the provenance of #software #source #components.”
With its chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl, the chaire Cybersécurité des Infrastructures Critiques participated at the research seminar of IMT Atlantique at the beginning of June 2023, leading to lots of fruitful exchanges that will materialize in even more collaborative research.
