The Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Chair (Cyber CNI) and IMT Atlantique are recruiting cybersecurity professionals and are opening two positions to strengthen their research and innovation activities in the protection of critical infrastructure. These opportunities are aimed at scientific and technical profiles wishing to contribute to academic and industrial projects.

Join the Cyber CNI Chair as a Platform Engineer

Location : Rennes
Contract : 24-month fixed-term contract (desired start date: November 2025)

The platform engineer will join the Network Systems, Cybersecurity, and Digital Law Department (SRCD).
The main tasks include:

  • Designing and maintaining experimental platforms combining industrial (OT) and IT systems
  • Collaborating with researchers to develop scientific experimentation scenarios
  • Automating and orchestrating environments for multi-user and multi-project use
  • Contributing to the promotion of platforms with industrial partners

Required profile :
Master’s degree in computer science, skills in software development, operating systems, networks, security, and virtualization (VMWare, Docker, etc.). Autonomy, rigor, and team spirit are essential.

Recruitment of a Postdoctoral Researcher – Immersive Interfaces for the Cyber CNI Chair

Location : Rennes
Contract : 18-month fixed-term contract (desired start date: November 2025)

As part of the Horizon Europe : CyberSecDome project, the postdoctoral researcher will develop immersive virtual reality interfaces to transform the analysis and management of cyber threats.

The tasks include:

  • Research on complex data visualization, risk analysis, and cybersecurity management for critical infrastructure
  • Development of immersive applications and prototypes
  • Collaboration with industrial partners (Airbus, BNP Paribas, EDF, SNCF)
  • Participation in scientific dissemination, technology watch, and student supervision

Required profile :
PhD (less than 3 years) in virtual reality, cybersecurity, data science, or machine learning. Experience in developing immersive applications and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Fluency in English; French is an asset.
