On Dec 13, 2021, we had the pleasure to welcome the Member of Parliament Florian Bachelier and a high decorated delegation from Airbus Cybersecurity, consisting of Nicolas Razy, Head of Defence and Strategic Programmes France, Serge Maurice, Directeur des relations opérationnelles et Défense, Eric CHAMBAREAU, Directeur Engineering France & CyberEntrainement chez Airbus CyberSecurity, Laureline Kiss, HR Business Partner chez Airbus CyberSecurity, Frédéric Dubois, Head of Rennes Airbus Cybersecurity offices.
After an introduction to IMT Atlantique and the Rennes campus by Jean Le Traon, a discussion on gender equality in cybersecurity with Géraldine Texier, and insights on the specialized Master program and the formation at the school with Romaric Ludinard, the delegation visited the laboratories of the chaire cyberCNI.fr. Chairholder Marc-Oliver Pahl introduced to the chair, its research areas, students, and many aspects around the exciting life at the chair with the three schools IMT Atlantique, Télécom Paris, and Télécom Sudparis, the six industry partners Arbus, Amossys, BNP Paribas, EDF, Nokia, and SNCF, and the institutional partners Pôle d’Excellence Cyber, Région Bretagne, and COMCYBER.
Then a demo with Nicolas Delcombel, Anthony David, Léo Lavaur, and Awaleh Meraneh was planned but due to time constraints the artefacts were only shown quickly.
It was a pleasure to receive the guests and we are already looking forward to receiving them again!
Marc-Oliver is an adjunct professor of Carleton University in Canada. Marc-Oliver’s research focus is on a holistic approach to cybersecurity. He is an experienced teacher and an eLearning pioneer, holding several teaching awards.
Marc-Oliver holds a Diploma from University of Tübingen and a PhD from Technical University of Munich.
Marc-Oliver is Vice President of the German Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) (https://germany.acm.org/). He heads the Future Education activities of the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (https://future-industry.org/).
Marc-Oliver’s research focus is on a holistic approach to cybersecurity. He works on security-by-design, anomaly detection, human-in-the-loop, and automation. His goal is making cybersecurity manageable, resulting in highly resilient and reliable systems. Marc-Oliver publishes regularly in the network and service management and security communities.
