On the way to the 7th edition of the Future-IoT Summer School!
The Future-IoT Summer School is back from August 20 to 26, 2025, in Scharbeutz, Germany, along the beautiful shores of the Baltic Sea. This event is co-organized by IMT Atlantique, Technische Universität München, and the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future. Every year, it brings together students, researchers, and professionals to explore key challenges in the field of the « Internet of Things » (IoT).
2025 Theme: Secure and Connected Region
This year, the focus will be on a critical topic: how to keep smart regions safe. Cities, buildings, vehicles, and public services are becoming more connected than ever. While these technologies offer great advantages, they also need to be secure, reliable, and built to last.
Over the course of one week, participants will dive into these challenges. They will attend talks, join workshops, and collaborate on group projects. The main objective is to create real solutions for securing connected systems.
A Great Opportunity for Students and Young Professionals
This summer school is especially designed for PhD students, recent graduates, and young professionals. It’s a unique chance to learn differently—by working on real-world problems. It also helps participants connect with experts, share ideas across cultures, and grow their professional network.
Moreover, this program highlights strong cooperation between France and Germany. Mentors and attendees come from diverse backgrounds, which leads to richer discussions and more creative projects.
