CyberSecDome: IMT Atlantique represented at the Cambridge plenary meeting
On September 15 and 16, 2025, the IMT Atlantique Cyber CNI Chair participated in the plenary meeting of the European CyberSecDome project, held in Cambridge (United Kingdom). The event brought together all the consortium partners to review the project’s progress.
The Chair was represented by Marc-Oliver Pahl, Chair holder, and Fabien Eyssartier, VR engineer. Their presence highlighted IMT Atlantique’s central role in developing the project’s immersive virtual reality (VR) interface. This contribution is structured around the coordination of Work Package 4 (WP4), as well as tasks T4.1 and T4.2, dedicated to the design and integration of VR environments.
CyberSecDome: a major European project for cybersecurity
Funded by the Horizon Europe program, CyberSecDome aims to strengthen the resilience and security of critical digital infrastructures through an innovative combination of technologies:
AI and cybersecurity for intrusion detection, analysis, and incident response;
Digital twins and advanced testing environments (cyber ranges) to simulate and anticipate threats;
Immersive extended reality (XR/VR) interfaces to improve visualization, understanding, and collaboration among security analysts.
The project brings together 15 partners from eight European countries and will run for three years (2023-2026), with a total budget of approximately €6 million.
Positive momentum confirmed in Cambridge
This plenary meeting marks an important milestone: the project has now entered its third and final year. The results are very positive:
The results achieved so far are considered excellent by partners and evaluators;
The projects from the first phase of the Open Call are currently being implemented;
The second phase of the Open Call is open for applications until the end of September 2025. It will offer new players (SMEs, universities, research centers) the opportunity to join the initiative and test the deployment of CyberSecDome in a real operational context.
