Chaire Cyber CNI – Cybersecurity for Critical Networked Infrastructures

CyberSecDome presented by the Cyber CNI Chair at ECW!

The leading French trade show for cyber defense and sovereign defense AI

The 10th edition of European Cyber Week, organized by the Cyber Excellence Cluster, brought together more than 8,500 participants and 130 partners. It thus confirmed its status as a major trade show for cybersecurity and artificial intelligence for sovereign defense in France.

In addition, the CNI Cyber Chair actively participated in the event. It took part in several conferences and contributed to discussions at the stand of the French cyber defense chairs and the PEPR Cyber.

A flagship event : the CyberSecDome demonstration

Among all the actions carried out by the Chair, the event dedicated to the CyberSecDome project was an important moment. It provided an opportunity to show the public the progress made by this European project, which combines AI and virtual reality technologies to revolutionize cybersecurity. CyberSecDome’s mission is to predict and respond effectively to threats while protecting digital infrastructures. Thanks to real-time situational awareness, the project provides information on incidents and risks, promoting collaborative responses among all stakeholders. Privacy-respecting information sharing reinforces the project’s impact.

IMT Atlantique, a partner of CyberSecDome, contributes through the Cyber CNI Chair, leading Work Package 4 – Immersive Interfaces, Explainable AI, and System Integration. Specifically, the team develops and integrates several critical components of the system :

  • An immersive VR/XR interface for incident analysis and response;
  • Explainable AI (XAI) tools to improve human understanding of AI decisions;
  • A secure knowledge sharing system via swarm learning and AI model federation;
  • Integration, testing, validation, and fine-tuning of the system in pilot environments.

During the presentation, Prof. Marc-Oliver Pahl, Chair holder, and Fabien Eyssartier, VR/XR engineer, introduced the audience to:

  • immersive interfaces (XR) and interactive threat visualizations;
  • collaborative features to facilitate decision-making;
  • the integration of this work into the European CyberSecDome demonstrator.

Visitors were able to see the Chair and IMT Atlantique’s contributions to the project in action. The demonstration also provided a better understanding of the innovation brought by CyberSecDome in the field of cybersecurity.

Exchanges and feedback with the ecosystem

The demonstration sparked numerous discussions with researchers, industry representatives, and institutional representatives. It also demonstrated the growing interest in immersive cybersecurity solutions and the relevance of the Chair’s work.

Enhanced visibility for the Chair and the project

Finally, this event enabled the Cyber CNI Chair to highlight its active role in CyberSecDome. It thus promoted its work within the French and European ecosystem. In addition, it demonstrated how its research contributes to innovation and digital sovereignty.
