NOMS 2026 : a scientific program of excellence
The Cyber CNI Chair continues its involvement in major international conferences on cybersecurity and network management research. In 2026, it is heavily involved in co-organizing the Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS), the leading conference for the network and service management community, notably through its prominent scientific responsibilities.
A leading scientific role at NOMS 2026
The Cyber CNI Chair is heavily involved in NOMS 2026, contributing to the scientific direction of the conference and raising the profile of cybersecurity issues at high-level international events.
In this context, the chair holder, Marc-Oliver Pahl, serves as co-chair of the Technical Program Committee (TPC), alongside Lorenzo Bracciale and Carlos Raniery. This role includes overseeing the scientific program, including the peer review process.
A rigorous and selective evaluation process
The NOMS 2026 Technical Program Committee meeting was held recently, marking the culmination of a particularly demanding and selective evaluation process. We thank all our engaged reviewers for their dedicated and tireless work for ensuring the quality of the event.
In total, the conference received more than 200 submissions. Following evaluations and discussions within the TPC, 53 long papers were accepted, corresponding to an acceptance rate of 24.88%.
This high level of selectivity is fully in line with NOMS’ scientific excellence. The amount of submissions shows the excellence and impact of NOMS as premier venue of the community.
Cybersecurity at the heart of the scientific program
For several years, Marc-Oliver Pahl has been actively contributing to strengthening cybersecurity themes within the NOMS conference, both strategically and programmatically.
The technical program for the 2026 edition clearly reflects this commitment, with a significant number of high-quality contributions focusing on network and service security. This work is of great interest for both academic research and operational applications. This focus confirms cybersecurity as a central pillar of the conference and illustrates the impact of the Cyber CNI chair on the evolution of its scientific priorities.
A leading conference for the scientific community
The overall quality of submissions to NOMS 2026 was particularly high. Many excellent contributions could not be accepted, highlighting the competitiveness of the selection process. This year we walked the extra mail of providing concrete recommendations where promising submissions can be submitted. As a result, also the NOMS 2026 workshops received a significant number of submissions, strengthening the conference even more.
Once again, NOMS has confirmed its status as a flagship conference for the network and service management community. It provides an ideal setting for scientific exchanges, international collaborations, and the development of high-impact research.
Through its involvement in the NOMS 2026 technical program committee, the Cyber CNI Chair actively contributes to the structuring of research in cybersecurity and network management. This participation illustrates the Chair’s role in the development and international visibility of high-level scientific work.
