Workshop : Discover NOMS MCT 2026 !
The Workshop on Management of Complex Threats (MCT) will take place on May 22, 2026, in Rome. It will be held in parallel with IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2026, one of the world’s leading events dedicated to network and service management (May 18–22, 2026). This workshop complements the main program. It focuses on the management of complex threats in next-generation networks.
A workshop dedicated to advanced threats and AI
Digital systems are evolving rapidly. As a result, organizations today face much more sophisticated attacks. Zero-day vulnerabilities, Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), and attacks reinforced by Generative AI are becoming more frequent. These threats require methods capable of ensuring better detection, more refined behavior analysis, and faster response.
The MCT 2026 workshop explores these challenges. It welcomes contributions on network anomaly detection, learning emerging behaviors, generative AI for defense, and AI/ML pipeline security. In addition, work on the IoT, the cloud, and critical infrastructures is encouraged.
A forum for exchange between research and practice
The workshop’s objective is simple: to bring together researchers, manufacturers, and operators. Through this exchange, the community will be able to advance methods and tools for better understanding and countering complex threats. Accepted papers will be published in the NOMS 2026 Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore, giving them international visibility.
The workshop is organized by Pierre Parrend (LRE-EPITA / ICube-University of Strasbourg) and Marc-Oliver Pahl (IMT Atlantique). Their expertise in cybersecurity and smart networks reinforces the scientific importance of the event.
