| 10h15 | Keynote Youssef Laarouchi (Chef de projet en cybersécurité chez EDF R&D), “Nouveaux enjeux Cyber pour EDF” Abstract EDF fait partie des membres fondateurs de la chaire cyber CNI. Pour un industriel comme EDF, cette chaire présente l’opportunité de traiter de problématiques techniques complexes dans un environnement partenarial riche. Cet environnement permet de partager avec d’autres industriels des verrous qui sont regardés par des académiques de renommée internationale, afin de les adapter au mieux aux besoins métiers. About Youssef Laarouchi (chef de projet en cybersécurité chez EDF R&D) Youssef Laarouchi représente EDF R&D au sein du Hub Cyber de Systematic, au sein du Comité Opérationnel de CyberCNI, une chaire commune avec l’Institut Mines Télécom, et est co-responsable du laboratoire SEIDO, un laboratoire commun entre EDF R&D et Télécom Paris. Il a précédemment travaillé comme ingénieur de recherche et chef de projet chez Renault, où il a participé à la définition et à l’évaluation de projets portant sur la sécurité des nouveaux véhicules. Youssef est titulaire d’une HDR (Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches) obtenue en 2020 et d’un doctorat obtenu en 2009 à l’Université de Toulouse, financé par Airbus France et le LAAS-CNRS. Il a reçu son diplôme d’ingénieur en télécommunications de l’ENSEIRB et un master de recherche de l’Université de Bordeaux en 2006. Il prépare actuellement un Executive Master à l’Ecole polytechnique, promotion 2020. |

About the cyberCNI.fr Research Update
The cyberCNI.fr (https://cyberCNI.fr/) Research Update (Spring/ Fall) happens once per semester. It is the big status event of the chair Cyber CNI. All works around the chair (PhD students, PostDocs, Engineers, …) are presenting their progress, current works, and next challenges. There are vital discussions with the audience on the topics. It is the perfect opportunity for getting an overview on and discussing what is going on at the chair.
From the spring 2022 event on, the Research Updates start with an industrial keynote of one of our partners, giving insights to and showcasing their work.
About the chair Cybersecurity of Critical Networked Infrastructures (cyberCNI.fr)
The Cyber CNI Chair at IMT Atlantique is devoted to research, innovation, and teaching in the field of the cybersecurity of critical infrastructures, including industrial processes, financial systems, building automation, energy networks, water treatment plants, transportation.
The chair covers the full stack from sensors and actuators and their signals over industrial control systems, distributed services at the edge or cloud, to user interfaces with collaborative Mixed Reality, and security policies.
The chair currently hosts 6+3 PhD students, 1+3 PostDocs, 11 Professors, 1+1 engineers, and 1 internship student. The chair runs a large testbed that enables applied research together with the industry partners. The industry partners of the current third funding round are Airbus, Amossys, BNP Paribas, EDF, and SNCF.
The chaire is located in Brittany, France. Brittany is the cybersecurity region number 1 in France. The chair Cyber CNI is strongly embedded in the cybersecurity ecosystem through its partnerships with the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber (PEC) and the Brittany Region. The chair provides a unique environment for cybersecurity research with lots of development possibilities.
Marc-Oliver is an adjunct professor of Carleton University in Canada. Marc-Oliver’s research focus is on a holistic approach to cybersecurity. He is an experienced teacher and an eLearning pioneer, holding several teaching awards.
Marc-Oliver holds a Diploma from University of Tübingen and a PhD from Technical University of Munich.
Marc-Oliver is Vice President of the German Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) (https://germany.acm.org/). He heads the Future Education activities of the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (https://future-industry.org/).
Marc-Oliver’s research focus is on a holistic approach to cybersecurity. He works on security-by-design, anomaly detection, human-in-the-loop, and automation. His goal is making cybersecurity manageable, resulting in highly resilient and reliable systems. Marc-Oliver publishes regularly in the network and service management and security communities.
